1880 Peterson's Ladies National Magazine January Vol LXXVII
$25.00
Antique womens' magazine of fashion from 1880 measures 10" X 6 3/8". Fragile condition with wear and tear to edges. Lots of interesting reading in the 92 pages but the great attraction is the illustrations and fold-out colored fashion plates. Two gorgeous fold-out prints are hand colored. They are in perfect condition and suitable for framing. Please see the photo of the close-up details. Additionally, there are several full-page, finely detailed fashion illustrations in black and white. Also, a precious full page print entitled, "A Message from the Sea" and another titled, " The Runaway Pair". Only several small black and white advertisements on the last two pages and inside covers. You will definitely note the difference from current magazines which have ads from cover to cover on every page. Yearly subscription rate to the magazine was two dollars. Publisher Charles J. Peterson, 306 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, Pa
