Notes on Mondrian Style:
In 1965 Yves Saint Laurent created a shift dress inspired by the abstract, geometric works of artist Piet Mondrian.
Other designers and pattern makers were quick to follow.
The original Yves Saint Laurent Mondrian-inspired shift was done in wool jersey with color blocks of white, red, blue, black and yellow.
