Vintage 1940's WWII Era Simplicity Dress Pattern Bust 36

Model: VB248

Vintage Simplicity sewing pattern number 1316.
Copyright 1944.
Pattern pieces have no printing and are factory pre-cut to exact size.
Size 18; bust 36; waist 30; hip 39.
Taking into account rationing during WWII, the dress has a shortened hemline and is made from Five Pattern pieces.
This size 18 requires only 1 7/8 yds of 41" for View 1; or 2 5/8 yds of 41" for View 2.

The dress features extended shoulders and a shaped neckline. Style 1, fashions a fly front to the hipline and a simulated fly below. The shoulder seam is gathered to give a draped effect and a button is stiched over the gathers.
Style 2, buttons in front to waist line and the skirt is finished with a simulated fly front. A purchased fob trims the self-fabric belt.

Pattern is used and complete.
