Spadea Bill Blass Mother, Daughter, Doll Pattern Set

Model: vc979

Rare and exciting pattern find. Spadea patterns 704 and 705 designed by Bill Blass of Maurice Renter. These are being sold as a set only and will not be separated. They are circa 1960's and not dated.
Pattern number 704 is the Misses' Pattern and is a Size 16; Bust 38; Waist 28; Hip 29. The description from the pattern reads,
"The unencumbered little top without a sleeve or superfluous detail to its name is pulled down over a full-stride skirt of crisp box pleats for the smartest separates that ever got together. Casually tied in place, a flowing scarf shows off its reversible talents at the hint of a breeze. To triple the family's chic, there's a matching pattern for daughter and doll."

Pattern number 705 is the Daughter and Doll pattern and is a Girls Size 14; Chest 33.5; Waist 27; Hip 33.5. The doll size is not specified anywhere and is merely referred to as "teen-age doll".
The description from the pattern reads,
"Up to their pretty chins in fashion, daughters and doll score a smashing success in matching outfits just like mother's (#704). The free-wheeling overblouse of plaids and checks is dropped down over a swinging box-pleated skirt, made in a coordinated solid color and attached to a camisole bodice. A jaunty scarf carries out the dual fabric plan."

Both patterns are unused. The daughter/doll pattern pieces are still in original factory folds; the mother's pattern pieces are re-folded.
No outer sleeves accompany these patterns, as they were mail order patterns. The original mailing envelope is not present.
