Charles LeMaire Spadea 1149 Katharine Hepburn Pattern Bust 35

Model: ve120

 Sold Out

Vintage Spadea sewing pattern number N-1149 from 1960.
From the pattern:
Katherine Hepburn wears it in a film, but it has a place in anyone's everyday life. Designed by Charles LeMaire, winner of three Academy Awards, it is an easy dress to wear and requires very little fitting. A high stand-up collar and raglan sleeves make for simple sewing. The bodice is gathered to a shoulder yoke and falls gracefully into a side skirt. The waist is nipped in by a tapered cummerbund, crossed in back and ties in front.
Size 12; Bust 35; Waist 25; Hip 36.
Pattern is complete. Uncut and in original factory folds. Excellent condition.
Comes with original mailing envelope postmarked, Nov 23 '60.
My own notes on Charles LeMaire:
Charles LaMaire, designed the wardrobe for Deborah Kerr in An Affair To Remember. He received 16 Academy Award nominations and 3 Oscars during his career. Movies include: A Certain Smile, Love Is A Many Splendored Thing; The Robe, How To Marry A Millionaire, All About Eve and dozens of notable others.
