Late 40's Scallop Interest Front Button Dress Pattern Bust 32

Model: af225

Vintage Simplicity sewing pattern 2509 from the New Look, late 40's era.
Front-buttoning bodice is styled with scallops at the neck and armhole edges. Softly flared skirt, cut on the bias grain, is seamed down the center front and back.
Optional saddle stitching. Self or purchased belt or sash at waist.
Size 14; Bust 32; Waist 26; Hip 35.
Pattern is cut and complete. Envelope is aged with torn upper edge but is solid.
Overall the pattern pieces are in fine condition and are certainly usable but a portion  that was touching the backside of the envelope front has lightly browned as a result of the acidity in the envelope and most likely heat. This is why, when I acquire vintage patterns, I remove the pattern pieces and instructions from the envelope and store them in acid-free backing boards and polypropylene sleeves. The envelopes are placed in front of the backing board. The pattern and instructions are placed in back of the backing board. It won't make the patterns young again  but  it prevents further deterioration  for  up to 100 years.
